About the Austin Children's Shelter

Austin Children’s Shelter protects and heals children, young adults and families in need. Established in 1984, ACS provides emergency shelter and long-term care for abused and neglected children and youth. Now with expanded programming offering transitional living services, ACS can have a sustaining, positive effect on young lives. The Shelter provides a variety of critical services and programs to lay a foundation of hope for the future of children, teens and young adults.
