Personal Fundraising

The Austin Children’s Shelter Personal Fundraising tool provides individuals the opportunity to support the Shelter in a unique way and share their personal story (such as why you volunteer), honor a friend or loved one on their birthday, anniversary or other special occasion, or honor the memory of a loved one or friend who has passed. Each page tells the story of a special person and provides the opportunity to make an online donation to the Austin Children's Shelter. In addition, you are helping to raise awareness about our mission and how we lay a foundation of hope for abused and neglected children and youth.

Create a Fund

Clicking the Create a Fund link displays the set of pages you can use to create your fund and Fund Web Page to tell your story or honor a person dear to you (called the fund’s Honoree) as you assist us in raising much-needed funds. When you create a fund, you are called a fund Champion.

Types of Funds

Personal: Tell a story about why the Shelter is important to you or share your experiences as a volunteer.

Honorarium: Create a fund for someone you know or yourself when they are celebrating a special occassion but would rather not receive a gift.

Tribute: Create a Tribute fund to someone dear to you who has passed. You can tell their story and why ACS was important to them or to you.

Note: If you have previously registered with our site, you should log in now to use existing information from your profile. If you have not registered, you will be asked to enter your street and email address and to create a User Name/Password login during the fund creation process.

Share What Matters to You

After naming your fund and providing basic information about it, you, as the fund champion, can:

Tell your story about the fund Honoree or why you are championing the Austin Children's Shelter.
Upload a digital photo of yourself or the person to be featured on the Fund Web Page.
Provide the street and email address of the fund Honoree, or a designated Next of Kin contact, that can be notified when gifts are made to the fund.
If you are creating a Tribute to someone, review and agree to a waiver that states you have the permission of the Honoree, or the Honoree’s family, to create the Fund Web Page.
Provide a personal donation as the Initial Gift to the fund.

Easily invite your friends and family

After creating the fund, you can access the Champion Center to personalize your Fund Web Page, send emails to your family and friends to ask them to visit your fund, and more.

Why do this?

The money you raise will help Austin Children's Shelter to continue to provide quality care for abused and neglected children. It is through the support of the community that we are able to provide the critical services and programs these children need to begin to heal.

Find a Fund

Clicking the Find a Fund link displays a search page that you can use to locate the Fund Web Page of someone you know. From there you can contribute to the Austin Children's Shelter in the name of the fund Champion or person being honored.
