how the shelter is funded
The Austin Children's Shelter receives annual funding from the State of Texas, the city and county as well as support from various agencies and foundations. This funding, while critical, is not enough. ACS is able to provide the high-quality care and critical services for the children because of support from the community. It is individuals, businesses and community organizations that make the difference.
ACS is a private non-profit organization with a 501(c)3 tax status. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law, and receipts are provided for all donations.
