ACS provides residential and non-residential services to children, youth, and families. Since 1984, ACS has been committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Over the past 30 years our mission has grown beyond crisis services to include long-term support, education and prevention programs aimed at ending child abuse in our community. In 2013 ACS added a suite of community-based programs that provide a range of supports and services aimed at strengthening families and keeping children safe in their own homes. We have also added foster placing services that provide rigorous screening, preparation, and ongoing support for private homes providing foster care.
