Austin Children's Shelter

We Believe
Volunteers are a vital link between Austin Children’s Shelter and the community; bringing valuable resources and talent to staff, children and young adults.

There are three avenues for volunteering with the Austin Children's Shelter.  Our direct service volunteers work with the children and youth in the cottages. Members of the ACS Guild work together to support the Shelter's mission through fund-raising, community awareness, activities with the youth and more. Community Volunteer Groups volunteering provides your group with the opportunity to organize an activity for the youth at ACS or a facility related project.

Our Volunteers

As a non-profit, volunteers are a critical component to the work we do and we are fortunate to have a large pool of committed volunteers who give so freely of themselves to support ACS in a variety of ways.  From the Board of Directors to community volunteer groups, direct service to event committees, our volunteers work from the heart to help the children and youth at the Austin Children's Shelter.
