Reporting Child Abuse Mandatory in Texas
As the almost-daily revelations continue over the alleged abuse by a former Penn State assistant football coach, many wonder how such activities could have gone on so long without being reported. Under Pennsylvania law, the coach who reported seeing what he thought was sexual abuse to his supervisor was not obligated to tell the police. That’s likely not what would happen in Texas.
