become a direct service volunteer

As our partners, Direct Service Volunteers teach, support and encourage the children, youth and young adults living here to move beyond what they know by trying new activities and learning new skills to begin moving forward into a brighter future.

Direct Service volunteers are required to attend a training session and go through a background check before they may begin working with the youth.

volunteer opportunities

Most volunteers are Direct Service Volunteers assisting staff with youth but other opportunities are available to match your skills and interest.  Visit the Volunteer Opportunities page for a complete list.

how to become a volunteer

The first step is to download and fill out the Volunteer Application.  There are additional steps involved before you may begin volunteering at the Shelter that must be submitted with your application.  See the Volunteer Requirements page for more information.
